Jim Bunning: at lunch, he's out to lunch

A poster at Kos reports on the Ky. Senate race:

I just watched the 6 o'clock news on WAVE3 and WHAS11 and saw highlights of Bunning's Rotary Club appearance in Louisville today. He was asked what he thought about the reservist unit that refused orders in Iraq because of concerns about safety (one of the reservists is from KY, hence the question). Bunning said, "I don't know anything about it. I haven't watched the national news or read a paper in the last six weeks."

A sitting United States senator has not read a newspaper since Labor Day.

What gives, Bluegrassers?

1. I don't know...
and what was even more frightening was when a reporter asked him if he ever keeps up with the news, and he said something like he watches Fox News to get ALL of his news...

2. I missed that. Was helping a friend w/his daughter's PC
I'll have to check out the nightly news and see if they repeat that story.

Bunning like Bush. People who support him are just parrots and sheep who toe the party line no matter who the candidate is. Thought is not up for discussion. You'd have better luck convincing a cat to bark and a dog to meow.
