MSNBC: Kerry up=within margin of error/*up=slight lead
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 07:11 PM by goodboy
good thing it's only 12 more days...
How is it if Kerry's up in a poll it's "within the margin of error" and if Bush is up it's a "slight lead"

1. If Kerry were up by 10, they'd
call themselves the 'outlier'.

Biggest bunch of bastards except for just about every other bunch of bastards.

We just sit there and listen to this crap.

3. I've noticed this. Or they say "statistically insignificant lead."
With *, it's always "a slight lead," or "Bush leading," or whatever.

5. She said the Kerry lead was

"still within the margin of error.

(I added bolding for emphasis because the addition of the word "still" made her comment sound more dismissive of Kerry's lead.)

The "she" I mean is whoever the woman on Olberman's show is.

6. right...
I've yet to see one news anchor use emphasis of any kind to illustrate Bush's plummeting poll numbers...another thing: Why don't they ever mention his DISapproval ratings.

8. Kerry must really be up by at least 10. They won't cut him any slack.
Don't believe the hype.

9. I agree
Kerry looks more and more the winner each passing day, no matter what mud the WH can sling. They'll call Kerry the Kicker.
The Closer.
President.
