The Big Lie Theory
Trained propagandists understand the big lie theory as applied to others.

This theory states that if you tell a lie often enough, some of the people who hear it will believe it.

The current administration has gotten quite good at this, and some posters here seem to favor it. I am not too concerned about its effects here, I have some faith in the DU'ers here. So feel free to bash my candidate, Rove will do it later anyway.

My big concern is the effect of the big lie on the big liar. If you tell a lie often enough you may come to believe it. This administration has fallen into that trap, and some posters may also. That might prevent them from supporting the Democratic nominee in the GE.

Please note that "lies" include exagerations and outofcontext quotes.

1. Lies begat lies
Those in the WH don't know what the truth is because they have told so many lies (different lies on the same subject). Condi can't remember what Colin said who can't remember what Scott said who can't remember what karl wanted him to say; and all on the same subject. With millions of dumbass right wing lemmings, rubes and dupes, lies do not have to be repeated to be believed. The conditioning process has them believe anything that comes from the WH or from their afternoon radio show.

They choose not to take Mark Twain's advice and they will suffer accordingly:

"Always tell the truth and you will never have to remember anything."

2. The Bush Criminal Empire uses the Big Lie even better than Hitler himself
How many Big Lies have they told??

The first Big Lie, of course, was that Bush "won" the 2000 election. The Biggest Lie was their "official story" of 9-11. And they have changed the Big Lies about Iraq so often that even I can't remember all of them.

3. More desperation
These threads are so pointless. Why not just point out 'the lie' in the thread in which it was stated? Sounds like someone said something about your candidate that you didn't like, and the charge was either true, or it was false but you lack the debate skills to counter it.

:eyes:

4. The point of this thread
1 bashing my guy is ok
2 bashing your guy is ok
3 don't lose sight of our all being Democrats
4 in the GE support the Democratic candidate (don't be blinded by your own posts)

The real enemy is not some other dem, it is Bushco.

For each candidate, I have seen some unfair bashes. I wish they did not occur, but I can ignore them.
