With Caucus Looming, Moseley Braun is Quiet

(Des Moines - AP) -- Democratic contenders are ramping up their campaigns in the final week before the Iowa Caucus. but one, Carol Mosely Braun, has skipped her only scheduled appearance Monday.

Moseley Braun aides say ``miscommunication'' led her to miss a morning event at a medical clinic in Des Moines. a spokeswoman says the clinic called it off, but an official at primary health says she was surprised by the no-show.
