Freepers upset about tonights Minnesota Rally
They call Kerry a loser but Bush only got 10,000 to 15,000 which is most likely less. Compare that to Kerry's 30,000 to 40,000.

I work about 3 blocks away from the Metrodome in Minneapolis and I park in a ramp right across the street so when leaving late from work I got treated to an earful of this 'pagentry'

While walking to our cars my coworker (recently from Michigan) asked if I recognized who was speaking. I told him it was Walter Mondale.

My friend stopped, turned to me and said "you mean the guy that lost a presidential election by the largest electoral margin - and then lost a senatorial election is the person introducing Kerry? A loser introducing an even bigger loser. Kerry is toast if he has to take time to campaign in Minnesota and pal around with Mondale!"

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I drove past that gathering and called my wife to tell her to draw some bath water because driving past / through that mob while listening to Mondale at 100 decibels made me feel the need to take a bath.

I was out side the rally, when the the speaker that introduced Sen. sKerry say say "We are going to terminate President Bush." I was almost going to ask a L.O.E. if heard someone just threaten the President, but decided not to.

I attended the Bush rally in Chanhassen, MN today and wanted to report back that it rocked! Easily 10,000, probably closer to 15,000 in a suburban Minneapolis park. President Bush spoke for about 30 minutes and was fired up. Expect to hear "he can run but he cant hide" a whole lot more the next 3 weeks. The crowd loved it. A great fall day and a big step to making Minnesota a red state for the first time since '72

17. You summed it up well
It's like those jack-off sappy emails detailing 3rd person anecdotal bullshit encounters, hence:

My friend stopped, turned to me and said "you mean the guy that lost a presidential election by the largest electoral margin - and then lost a senatorial election is the person introducing Kerry? A loser introducing an even bigger loser. Kerry is toast if he has to take time to campaign in Minnesota and pal around with Mondale!

I don't know about that, but I've walked along the street with many friends, most of them politically inclined, but NONE of them ever spoke like that.

2. This is good: "Expect to hear 'He can run but he can't hide'..."
If * keeps using this line, even the Repubs are going to remember that he said that about Osama.

Wait til he starts saying he's going to "smoke 'em out".

6. because it gives us a idea what people like Hannity are going to say
Edited on Fri Oct-22-04 12:28 AM by AIndependentTexan
Also we know that the fact that they are in denial points to Kerry's rally being a bounce for our side. Everytime they go into denial or meltdown it means we did something right and good!

10. Because it is almost like the red alert with terror warnings
Everytime Bush was down in the polls they would raise the level. Freepers are fun to watch because when Kerry does good they go into total meltdown stage.

Also we can not trust the polls because we know they are controlling them. We can trust the level of denial that these freepers go through. Another reason why this is meaningful is compare the numbers. Bush only got 10,000 to 15,000 there and Kerry was able to pull 30,000 to 40,000. That is almost 3 times what Bush pulled. Freepers also tend to lie about things so Bush numbers were most likely less. By comparing we can create our own poll of what is most likely to happen with this state. Meaning Kerry has a strong chance with it no matter what any poll says.

For such a man, nothings too good. But you forgot: dinner must also be on the table after the bath. And she better not burn the food, or let it get too cold.

11. In honor of this thread
I have just joined Free Republic.

I haven't joined in a while. (always got kicked off in about three posts)

I am going to post pro-Bush, anti-gay CRAP for a few days, and then get kicked off the site on Election Day after screwing with their heads for as long as they allow it.

(gloom and doom posts; why didn't Bush go after the gays more; whatever pops into my sick, demented mind)

Since so many of them belong to DU, it's only right that we join FR.

I suggest everyone join up there. C'mon; we all agree Kerry will win big; let's put the hurt on these fuckers.

Or not.

18. "and then i said....."
You may be right Percival about Mondale, but Bill Clinton is an even bigger loser". My freind laughed out loud. Then I said, "Hellery is a bitch", my friend laughed out loud again. We both laughed. As we were laughing, we passed some, compatriots and asked them if they wanted to come with my friend and I to my home. I'd called my wife earlier and had her draw a baaaath. My new compatriots and my friend (recently from pago pago) laughed.

You know, I havent been downtown Minneapolis in awhile, but I dont think there's a parking ramp even close to the dome. At least not close enough to hear Kerry speak from outside. 4th av goes one way, 5th av goes the other way, there are parking lots, but no ramps. Guys a friggen liar either way.
