tonight *ALL* the 'undecideds' were registered REPUBLICANS. Bush's 'base' is confused on whether to vote for him or not? Or am I missing somthing?

General Wesley Clark is such a class act, smart too.

10. Like a fist on a fly. |

Later a questioner asked how to balance combating truly bad or frivolous lawsuits against the good lawyers doing needed lawsuits. As AwsieDooger notes in #8 below, Kerik backs off with IANAL, no expertise. "I'm not big on tort reform" (???!!!), but insists lawsuits are a problem (??!!).
Then Clark points out that we should never surrender our right of access to the courts and the rule of law as GUARANTEED BY THE GODDAMN CONSTITUTION! OK, he left out the goddamn, and the exclamation point. Then he explained convincingly what a great lawyer, Edwards, and Kerry proposed, 'three strikes' for rotten lawyers, etc., but being careful how 'rotten' is defined, and so on and so forth in the way that makes me almost cry that he is not our candidate.

4. Shhhh...That's Part Of The Dirty Secret |

Of the people you know who voted for Gore in 2000...how many are going to vote for Bunnypants this year? Personally I don't know of a one of my many social and political acquaintances that went over to the dark side and most are very eager for this election to oust this regime.
Maybe it's the area I'm in, but in my canvassing I constantly ran into Repugnicans who weren't solid on voting for Bunnypants or were going to vote "just because". For a "man of the people" that is supposed to be so loved, people sure don't like to talk about him these days. LOL.
This election has and will be a referendum on this regime among his own hive. He needs everyone who voted for him in 2000 plus 5,000,000 more. This is Rove's coveted fundies and GOTV efforts. We'll see how effective this was...if it wasn't as successful as the 4 million new voters Rove claims, the rout will be on.
I've never seen a campaign so dependent on pandering to it's radical base this late in a general election as Bunnypants...and this is very, very telling. And it's a good thing!

6. One woman was ashamed to admit that she was a Republican. Wes Clark |

has excellent command of the facts and figures. He's a valuable surrogate.
Kerik, the Rethug, is taking every opportunity to snipe at Kerry. He is relying on the talking points dogma of the GOP for his "facts".

Easy pickings for Wes Clark taking on that NY police guy. I laughed out loud when I turned it on and saw the matchup. One thing about late in this campaign, our TV surrogates have been narrowed or amended to include the best and most effective only.
Clark just thumped the police guy when he tried to be an apologist for Bush's job loss, blaming it all on 9/11. Clark emphasized that current job gains don't even keep up with population increases and that the new jobs are inferior to the ones that were lost, in wages, health care and otherwise.
Oh jeez, an audience question regarding tort reform and the Bush guy immediately said that's not exactly his area of expertise.
At one point Paula Zahn asked four straight questions that were skeptical of the Democratic position. Shocking.
