I was told today that he endorsed Bush. I haven't been able to confirm this anywhere on-line (with the exception of an aside from NPR discussing the unusualness of CEOs actually endorsing candidates). Anybody have any information on this?

The ties between Mr.gates and Mr.chimp have always been close. *'s selection in 2000 paved the way for the very favorable antitrust settlement micro$oft negotiated shortly afterwards.

4. I am always surprised by Vanity Fair |

It comes across as an elegant national enquirer. There is always a pretty face on the cover, some story of scandal involving the rich folks, movie and book plugs, starlet interviews, but tucked in there are great articles.
I enjoyed the article about the women in bush's life a few months back. There was the article about the stealing of the 2000 election in FLA. The article you mentioned was eye opening for me. I was genuinely surprised by some of the people who were for bush.
