UK citizens want KERRY to win |
|
So much for bushCartel's closest "ally"; all the polls show the citizens of the UK have never supported the invasion of Iraq, and have never supported the petty tyrant bush. Here's another poll showing the same, from the Derbyshire Telegraph;
Presidential elections Who do you want to win the fight to be US president? A. George Bush 22% B. John Kerry 77% :) :) :)

We coulda told you that a loooong time ago... before the invasion we had a march in London against the Iraq war; depending on who you believe, there were 1.2 to 2 million people there... either way it was the biggest protest in the city's history. Not that that cut much ice with our good friend Tony who, while not quite as deranged as your esteemed leader, has a bit of a messianic, "I know I'm right" bent to him.
In a way I envy you yanks - politics for you at the moment is so clear-cut and simple. In the UK, we have Blair, who many are feeling reluctant to support purely because of his support for Dubya (a position which is not endorsed by the vast majority of those in his party - but as I said, like Dubya, it's apparently Tony's way or the highway); we have the Tories, the same scumbags who bled the country dry for 18 years and happily would again; and the Liberal Democrats (gosh, wouldn't a party get far in the US with a name like that), who, aside from not really having much of a chance of ever getting in power, seem to be a slightly schizophrenic bunch, a mix of very left- and very right-wing individuals.
You all seem to be having so much fun, it makes me wish I could vote for Kerry...

2. I knew that before the invasion :) |
|
I lived for 12 years in London. :)
And funny thing, I STILL get attacked by freeping rightwingnuts every time I point out that the UK majority OPPOSED the invasion of Iraq, they STILL OPPOSE the invasion of Iraq, and NO the Brits DO NOT love Tony the bLiar.
I think if the idiot rightwingnuts in this country ever finally wake up to the FACT that ONLY AMERICA ever had a pro-invasion majority (and even then it wasn't until after the invasion started) their tiny pointed little heads will implode.
Anyhoo yeah you guys are doing the ROCK <-> HARD PLACE thing with bLiar/scumbags/schizos.
But still, bLiar's far better than the fascist petty tyrant bush.

who actually works for the LibDems. He's very left-wing and always pushes the party to anyone who'll listen, but he's also the one who told me about their "split-personality" nature. Apparently there's a group within the party that's dedicated to recruiting Tory party members... how can I, in good conscience, vote for a party that goes out of its way to actively recruit conservatives? I think my housemate believes that if they ever gain power, they'll kick all the right-wingers out (and to be fair their leader is pretty left-wing) - but history tells us that generally the opposite happens (witness the once-proud Labour party)...
