Reuters: Laura Bush Denies Husband Relies on Instinct
NASHUA, N.H. (Reuters) - First Lady Laura Bush said on Thursday that her husband has long consultations with advisers before making decisions, disputing a recent report that he sometimes relies primarily on gut instincts.

The president "talks at great length" with advisers before arriving at a conclusion, Mrs. Bush said, disagreeing with a recent New York Times article's portrayal of her husband, although she allowed that instincts were part of the process.

"He does -- I think -- have a really great intuition," she said in an interview with Reuters and the Washington Post.

....

Mrs. Bush agrees with her husband that more should be done to reduce the number of abortions, but has also indicated she does not believe a 1973 Supreme Court ruling legalizing them should be overturned.

President Bush has said he opposes abortion in most cases and has also said he supports the anti-abortion plank of the Republican Party platform, which would ban abortions in all cases, even those involving rape and incest, and calls for an anti-abortion amendment to the Constitution.

1. Well why not have her run for president instead ?
I think she'd be a better choice.

The Chimp support for anti abortion :

" which would ban abortions in all cases, even those involving rape and incest, and calls for an anti-abortion amendment to the Constitution. "

is just stupid and wrong. Even if the Chimp is weighing decisions and consulting, he still gets it wrong - or his advisors do.

Chimpie has to go.

5. Bush Listens To The Guys That Talk Most Macho
Which happened to work out as the ones diametrically opposed to the guys who were most correct.

Bush's fear of inheriting his father's small wee-wee, politically speaking, has led him to turn to some of the most inept ideologues in history (history will not be kind to the Pentagon cabal).

2. If Rove has pickles out dispelling this
it means it is causing problems. I hope Kerry picks up on it and continues to attack B* as making decisions based on his "gut feelings" and not advice based on facts.

3. Right and she sits in on all those conferences
and knows exactly what he does and says. This is weak--Bush himself has said he uses gut instinct and once he makes up his mind, that's it. Does anyone ever question Laura's lies? Or is she still off base to journalists?

4. I think Andy Borowitz (satirist) nailed it...
"Elsewhere, Teresa Heinz Kerry apologized today for saying that Laura Bush never held a real job, noting that for the past twenty-seven years Mrs. Bush has worked with the mentally impaired."

6. This is bull*hit. Dred Scott references prove it.
Laura, go back to your perfect little world and live your perfect little plastic life. We want a REAL first lady like Teresa Kerry and Elizabeth Edwards.
