Turnabout question for Freepers |
|
We have been prone to getting on Kerry for being unable to break past this miserable, failed, disastrous president. If he's such a failure, we fret, why can't Kerry make a breakthrough?
The turnabout question is, if Bush is such a success, why is he stuck at under 50%? I mean, if he's Jesus incarnate, if we really have "the most successful US economy in history," if the war in Iraq and the war on terror are such blazing triumphs (although if the war on terror is going so well, why are we still supposedly in so much danger?), if all of that is true, shouldn't Bush be winning in every state by such huge margins that Kerry wouldn't even be showing up as a blip? Why isn't that happening, hmmm?
Does anybody ever point this out? (I know we do, I mean, Freepers or Bush's sedan-chair carriers in the press.) Keep this in mind: as tight as this is for us, it's even tighter for them. Because Bush is the incumbent, and it's clear that he has spent four years not winning over a single person who didn't vote for him last time. That's not much of a vote of confidence for a sitting president.

I think I'll use it: "If Bush is so great, why does half the country think he's an incompetent idiot? Are we all just stupid? Or is it that YOU are uninformed?" Then I'll provide examples!
