Boston police shoot red sox fan dead in no celebration zone.
Edited on Fri Oct-22-04 09:38 AM by donhakman
The mentality of the no free speech zone has extended to no celebration zones.

A beautiful young coed was shot in the eye and killed with plastic rounds.

Riot police on the baseball field is now a common sight.

This is another typical example of how how we are told we are all more secure in this new Bush police state against "terrists" no matter who they may be.

1. Police State Tactics
Next thing we'll hear is that young Victoria Snelgrove was up to no good. If she'd been minding her own business, this wouldn't have happened.

2. Too much booze is the problem-18/19/20 year old kids should NOT
be drinking booze. The crowds get out of control and the police have to take action

7. uh, action perhaps BUT...
how do you justify firing a GAS round at people's HEADS? this was a pepper spray cartridge.

shouldn't GAS have been fired at the GROUND?

4. I watched the Mayor lose his job.........
There was a clip on the morning news where he places most of the blame on the young revelers. He sounded very upset that anyone would jump on the police department for this.

Now there WAS vandalism going on (shots of car burning) and the kids WERE drunk and very very stupid. The police WERE using so-called "non-lethal ordinance" and took responsibility immediately.

BUT the mayor looked SO mean and callous that he is pretty much toast over this. (Who the hell is he anyway...

6. Victim's father: "This should not happen to any American citizen..."
Snelgrove's father, Richard, greeted reporters at his home yesterday by holding up a picture of his daughter. "I want you all to meet my daughter Victoria," he said. "She was out of the way, but she still got shot." Before he stepped back into his home with grieving relatives, the Brockton bus driver added: "This should not happen to any American citizen going to any type of game."
