The Bush image
Bush is an Oil man, he is not a cattle man. Why isn't his image that of J. R. Ewing instead of Joe Cartwright?

The answer would have to be the spin of Karl Rove.

I can't believe people forget that Bush was trigger-happy down at death row. I'm not talking an exceptional record - he wasn't competing against other Governors, he was competing against his Saudi buddies!
