"Three of Four Bush Supporters Still Believe in Iraqi WMD, al Qaeda Ties"
WASHINGTON – Three out of four self-described supporters of President George W. Bush still believe that pre-war Iraq had weapons of mass destruction (WMD) or active programs to produce them and that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein provided “substantial support” to al Qaeda, according to a new survey released here Thursday.

Moreover, as many or more Bush supporters hold those beliefs today than they did several months ago, before the publication of a series of well-publicized official government reports that debunked both notions.

Those are among the most striking findings of the survey, which was conducted in mid-October by the University of Maryland’s Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) and Knowledge Networks, a California-based polling firm.

The survey, which polled the views of nearly 900 randomly chosen respondents equally divided between Bush supporters and those intending to vote for Democratic Sen. John Kerry, found a yawning gap in the world views, particularly as regards pre-war Iraq, between the two groups.

1. Yep, and we need to change that.
Because if we remove that delusion, many of them have NO reason to vote Bush.

2. 3 out of 4 Bush supporters are too stupid to read, or..
.. tie their own shoes, apparently. There is NO excuse for that type of lazy thinking! People need to turn off their fucking t.v. and get a clue!

The book, The Dumbing Down of America, is even more relevant right now. T.V.'s inane programming has replaced reading, newspapers, and critical thinking. God help us, if this is what we have to look forward to in the next decades. Religious fanaticism and an ignorant electorate.

3. What about the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Santa Clause, Leprachauns with
Pots o' Gold, and the lost city of Atlantis ?

What this makes me think of was the myth the German Army was stabbed in the back by defeatists - when on the verge of victory in WW I .

This is why we need to defeat the Chimp.

5. Just like they were fiscally conservative in 1995

Come on, they don't actually "believe" anything. They get tricked by the trickier trickster. You can't take their beliefs and opinions too seriously.
