Alan Keyes is proof positive that the GOP is wacked!
After viewing a bit of his debate with Obama last night.

Is he really the best they could come up with???

Obama of course handled his wacky ranting with intelligence, grace and dignity. So glad he will be in the senate!

1. I asked my
republican brother how he was going to vote for Keys his answer was...leave the senate race blank...I think a lot of rep in Southern Illinois will be doing the same thing.
He said he could not vote for Obama.

3. Yep, that's how it's going to go down.
IMO, the increased turnout for an exciting candidate for the Dems will be offset by a bunch of Repubs in Illinois not voting for that race.

I can imagine why it would be that way in Pekin, but I'd guess the majority of the rest being pro-life.

The only fun left in this race is whether or not Keyes gets 20% of the vote, and whether or not the senate race gets 80% of the votes that the presidential race gets.

2. Obama is going to be like a spring breeze in the Senate
There is a lot of stale air and dust that needs to be blown out of there. Obama in the Senate, Kerry in the White House, good god al mighty, we may be turning a corner after all.

4. Hubby was watching baseball in another room last night
walked by where I was watching the Obama/Keyes debate on CSPAN, watched for a minute, and then said with the most disgusted look on his face "what the... what the hell are you watching?" Then the screen switched to Obama,. and he said "Oh...for the love of god someone needs to lock Keyes up, he is certifiable"
