2. They have dispatched political operatives.... |
|
Democratic strategists in Washington privately admit they have neglected Hawaii, but no more. They have dispatched political operatives to shore up Kerry's support and believe the race is now about as close as Washington state and Oregon, two long-standing battlegrounds that both parties think are leaning toward Kerry.

3. whatever. let me guess, strategic vision (hmmm.wonder what the name means) |
|
probably said Bush was up by 2%.
Washington Moonie Slimes
Bush Takes Lead in Hawaii by Cecil B Moran (3rd cousin of George Bush)
A recent Strategic Vision poll shows president Bush now ahead of Senator John Kerry in Hawaii by 2%. The survey conducted at a Hawaiin Luau in Houston, Texas of those claiming to be residents of the distant state shows that even Hawaii cannot stand John Kerry's 20 year Senate record.
Many Hawaiins blame Kerry's inaction in August of 2001 for the 9/11 attacks. "John Kerry spent his time in the Senate," said a Bush supporter "instead of reading the August 6th Presidental Daily Briefing. It's all his fault!"

4. I spent two weeks in Sept there, saw more Kerry signs |
|
and bumper stickers. Even with vacation I wasn't going to leave this election to chance so I talked to everyone about it locals, we posted kerry stickers all over Kauai and talked to people in Oahu. Everyone I talked to was pro kerry. Maybe some of the rich will vote for bush but I would be very very surpised after all the people I met if he won.
My husband and I posted Kerry stickers I brought on telephone poles on local main roads and even on some of the main trails people take. We put a against Bush one on a stop sign. I felt sort of sneaky but I wanted Kerry to really show up big.
We only saw a few Bush signs and it was in expensive neighborhoods. Most though are summer homes and the people can't vote there so I wouldn't worry.
