Is it SAFE to take the KIDS to a Kerry Rally?
I'm not talking about Polack who took his rethugican family to a Democratic Party rally. I'm talking about taking my 8 and 11 year olds to a Kerry Rally in Las Cruces, NM.

Should I be concerned?

3. Definitely
I took my 13 yr old to see Kerry and Edwards in Ft. Lauderdale this summer. There were tons of kids there. You had to go through a metal detector to get in. Just be prepared to stand and wait for a while. Don't bring a purse, just a camera and water. The doors of the rallies usually open at least 1-2 hours before the candidates arrive. You need to be early to get a good spot.

4. Yes, I took my son on Wednesday
He is 15 and there were plenty of kids there a lot younger. The only thing I would caution is to be prepared to wait in line for a long time and to stand for a very long time.

6. Safer than your home
There are plenty of secret service folks etc. there to keep him safe. and to keep order. It will be a great intro. to politics for the kids. Enjoy.

7. Yes
By all means. It'll be good for them and something they will never foreget. Bring your camera and take some pics of them at it. Have fun!

8. It's a ton of fun!
I haven't had such fun in a long time. All different kinds of people, all together for the same purpose. The only time I feel good and sane is when I'm with a group of Dems. Take your kids, let them know what American Patriotism really feels like!

9. Absolutely take them....
The cost of the gas to get you there, the cost of the water and snacks you need to bring....way too much.

The toll it will take on your nerves and theirs to wait in line and stand around waiting....tremendous

The experience that you are giving your children to feel the unity and excitement of being with thousands of people and actually hear and see the next President of the United States, an experience that may profoundly change their lives.......PRICELESS
