CNN is at it again
They are actively selecting among state polls that show Bush doing better in a number battleground states in the Midwest.

This time rather than use Gallop, they have selected the Mason-Dixon poll, which is about the only poll showing Bush even close to winning in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and other states.

For example. Mason Dixons latest poll shows Kerry with a one point lead in Pennsylvania.

Qunnipiac shows Kerry with a six point lead in PA over the same period. Pretty much doing the same thing in 6 other states where other polls have Kerry with a clear lead, beyond the margins of error in most cases.

1. They need to be called out
the blatant Bush whoring is irresponsible if not unethical.

It's about ratings, not news.

18. I wish I could believe their motives were so innocent.
But instead I believe they are part and parcel of a hard right media consortium that will do whatever it takes to keep the Repukes in power. Whenever I read a thread like this my blood boils. Cnn.coN is public enemy #1, imho. MSRNC is next, with FAUX coming in third. The reason the first two are worse than the FAUX is that they package their lies and propaganda as balanced and reasoned opinion pieces. FAUX is outed as a Repuke cheerleader, and therefore much less dangerous.

7. i have noticed they promote polls with Bush ahead
but ignore ones with Kerry ahead.

it wouldn't be so bad if they used the same poll such as gallup, zogby or whatever else consistently and showed it no matter who was ahead.

but they only bring up polls with bush ahead and they totally ignore ones with kerry ahead.

12. CNN is in the pocket of big business and uses propaganda
for its purposes. It is NOT legitimate news in the classic fair and balanced journalistic sense. Book to read "News Flash" by Bonnie Anderson, about CNN.

13. Do you know they are targeting you...you specifically??
They know the righties go to Fox. Both CNN and MSNBC (watch their daily polls and how it always comes out with a very dem/liberal vote)know that we Dems are watching them. Their mission for Bush and corporate America is to make YOU and ME think this is over. Lot of people like us don't know of websites like this, or have a home computer, etc. and are thinking this is the gospel truth. They have, also, a lot of elderly watching. If they can make us depressed, maybe we either won't go out to vote or help out getting the votes out. They are putting this tripe up to kick their own goddamn viewers right in the gut. If we turn them off, they have nothing left. Turn them off.

14. What has our country become?
The United States of the Corporations--and the media are owned heart, soul, and balls by their corporate masters. How they sleep at night is more than I know. I've fired off angry e-mail after e-mail to these thugs and nothing changes. Media Matters has called them on it on a daily basis, and yet, they spin and whore. And the vast majority of people believe what they hear on TV which is why that this is dangerous. Damn them all to hell.
