Lieberman gets major endorsement in Wisconsin
As I was driving today I noticed that Mayor Herb Dehusson of Nelson, Wisconsin (pop. 425) had a Joe in '04 sign on his front lawn. It is clear to me that something is happening out here in the grass roots. Lieberman is catching fire as Nelson goes so goes the nation.

Lieberman '04

1. Herb Dehusson backed Lieberman?
Well, it's all over, then. That cinches it.

4. yah, Herb has been Nelson's Mayor for almost 30 years
He is known as the "Daley along the Mississippi" in these parts. He is known and loved as the man who brought a traffic light to Nelson.

2. Sigh of Relief
I was worried that there was some form of mental botulism in the cheese curds up there or something.

5. I understand your feelings, but. . .
. . . I was a Dean guy and then thought about electability. If I voted my heart, it would be for Dean, but it's time to vote my head and get Bush out of office.

Clark has several problems similar to Dean -- soft on terror, etc. But even worse, he's going to be perceived as more of an ultra-liberal!!! Madonna and Michael Moore have endorsed him, and Barbra Streisand gave his campaign money. His soft-on-terror position is also worse, considering that he's a general and is running on a foreign policy ticket.

A Clark ticket would result in a landslide loss to Bush and that's one thing we cannot afford.

7. Again, more good points
Dean is a liability. Joe can't be attacked on any issue and has proven he can win.

9. Exactly.
This is something I thought long and hard about, and it's important to put these considerations ahead of our fantasies about the election.

Electability is CRUCIAL.
