I NEVER want to hear about democrats being "weak" again.
Edited on Fri Oct-22-04 04:55 PM by FrankenforMN
My daily rant:

I cannot tell you how many times I have heard a republican say that ALL democrats are weak, spineless, yellow-dog liberals, etc. I know you all have heard it too. Well if you have have been watching the national news at all today, you would hear EVERY republican say,"Bush can protect us." Apparently we have never been safe without Bush in office. WOULD YOU LIKE HIM TO HOLD YOUR HAND AS YOU CROSS THE STREET TOO???!!! What is even more hilarious, is if you ask them how Bush has made you safer, they give a vague answer such as "Bush is a strong leader."

I never want to hear from any republican about how weak democrats are, because this is truly pathetic. We truly need to vote this guy out of office, because I do not think I can handle four more years of mass hysteria, and fear.

1. if you are perceived anti war
you are perceived as weak. liberals are by nature non violent usually. their rants are weak. it is lunacy to follow a psychopath, it is a sign of weakness to not think.

7. That's why progressives need to be more militant and confrontational.
The time for pacifism and timidity is over. The time for "turn the other cheek" has gone. There must be no unity with the right, no conciliation whatsoever. We must always, always bear in mind that these are not "opponents," they are vile enemies that must be politically neutralized.

2. What really chides me..
is that the people wanting Bush to save them from the terra-ists are those living in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. Meanwhile, the people living day-to-day life with the REAL targets on their backs - those living in DEEP BLUE territory - are supporting John Kerryby wiiiiide margins. THAT's an endorsement if I've ever heard of one!

Hey rednecks GOPers: the terrorists don't care about your little podunk hillbilly town. Wal-Mart is not a very lucrative target to them, and neither is the little antique shop over on the main drag. So get over yourselves.

/rant off

4. Somehow I doubt that...
If Kerry is elected they will look for anything Kerry does, and project it as a sign of weakness. If he so much as shakes Jacque Chirac's hand, Sean Hannity and his followers will pounce on this and say that we have sold out to the French. They will say Kerry has made us less safe no matter what. Deep down I also feel that IF 9/11 would have happened under Gore's presidency, the country would not have been nearly as united, because republicans would have immediately started pointing fingers. That is just my opinion though.
