7. Don't forget their boss Mikey Eisner or (formerly) Oxycontin boy himself..
Mush of course was doing "color" commentary for ESPN and got fired for a racist comment against McNabb just days before his drug bust.

And Mikey nearly succeeded in blocking the distribution of Fahrenheit 9-11

ABC/Disney is pretty well sold out to the evil side :evilfrown:

2. October 27, 200 = Gore down by over 10% points...
Gore went on to win by 3%.

If Kerry's "down" 4% according to polls NOW, we're definitely in for a landslide. I keep posting and re-posting this so everyone sees it: Paul Begala spoke at my campus and said he has access to the private polls (which are supposedly much, much more accurate) and said bluntly "Kerry's gonna win this thing".

9. In an honest and fair election, I would agree with you.
But how big is the Diebold factor this time?

10. Gore went on to win by 3%?
He did? Gore won by less than 1%, approximately half a million votes. He still won, but it's good to get facts right.

a landslide? I'd love it, but I don't buy it . I just hope he's gonna win.

Finally, I like Peter Jennings, and I didn't view his report on the race tonight as unfair at all. We see what we want or expect to see, I suppose.

11. Are you talking about a specific state? Because nationally,
Gore won by 0.51% (48.38% for Gore; 47.87% for Bush.)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._presidential_election,_2000

I understand your point and I believe Kerry will win.

4. They're awful tonight..
Playing up Bush's lead among married women as if Kerry has no chance. You'll never hear them admit that Kerry is frequently polling ahead among men, a group Bush desperately needs.

Anyone depending solely on ABC news electtion coverage is in for a shock on November 2nd.

6. I was thinking the same thing...they went on about how
Kerry had high profile women, because he's doing so poorly among women...but that women are worried about terror, and Bush is focusing on terror...

Of course, all of this was after the "wolf" ad...

wow...

8. Kerry isn't giving them the knife fight
Edited on Fri Oct-22-04 05:51 PM by creeksneakers2
Bush is making dramatic speeches about terrorism while Kerry is talking about equal pay for women. (probably not in the top 40 issues)

The news media wants drama. Bush gave them wolves at Halloween. There is no reason Kerry shouldn't be hitting Bush on ignoring terrorism for his entire term. Kerry should have ads running about it and make it his main issue.

Its time for the Kerry campaign to bring up how the White House ignored three military plans to take out Ansar al-Islam and possibly the terrorist Zarqawi. The White House chose to ignore our greatest terrorism threat because they thought it might undermine their case for the war in Iraq.

Bush lied in the debate about saying he wasn't concerned about Osama. Bush let Osama escape from Tora Bora.
Bush took troops from the hunt for Bin Laden and moved them to Iraq.
Bush called off elements of the hunt for Bin Laden before 9/11. "I'm tired of swatting at flies."

All of these things should be put into an ad that says Bush is sending the wrong signals to terrorists by ignoring terrorism. Then have Kerry should say he won't ignore terrorism.

I've talked to lots of people on the street and they all say they don't like Bush but won't vote for Kerry because they think Bush will do something about terrorism and Kerry won't. A serious ad campaign could change that.

I'd like to see Kerry make the White House turning down military plans to take out Ansar al-Islam his main speaking point next week. That would go along well with the ads.

There are only a couple of weeks left and Kerry is touching victory but not grabbing hold of it.

I blame Kerry, and not ABC on this one.

ABC did run Kerry's ace from today, the Caroline Kennedy endorsement.

14. Change the channel....
MSNBC isn't saying Bush is in the lead.

Today anyway.

The way the networks have been lately, tomorrow Jennings will have Kerry up, and Brokaw will have him down.

Change the channel and you'll hear different results.

(well.. :eyes: unless you accidently turn in to Faux)

MSNBC is just now saying how well Kerry did in speaking of national security today. ~~ :)

President Kerry needed to boost his numbers with female voters. And as it turns out, that's EXACTLY what he did! :toast:

17. What happened to Terry Moran??
Jennings tries his best to be fair, and has gotten me through a great many national crises these past four years LOL.

I don't know who that guy was, that said "Kerry's problem is", but Terry Moran used to be a competent reporter over there...is he still around?

20. They alternate
who gets to tell us the news. Sometimes one, sometimes the other. I have appreciated Jennings the last 4 yrs (can tell at a glance how bad the news is if Jennings has his jacket on or off, haha) , but am really tired of all the slanted media coverage now. They give Bush air time, then give a quick statement on what Kerry's up to. NPR too. bah.
