Question: local paper says won't publish week before election
I am in NH and wrote a letter for support of Granny D (running for Senate) and submitted yesterday for this coming week. I was told no editorials on any candidates will be accepted the week prior to the election... Is this standard for other papers?? Whats this about???

5. That is truly insane. Why let the commoners have a say, when all
those intelligent, high minded unbiased reporters and editors should be be allowed to write what ever they want. Why not write a letter to say, the Concord Monitor about the Mondanock Ledger's position, and embarrass them?

6. Actually I have had a number of disputes with
this paper over their bizarre coverage and non coverage of local events etc and refusing to publish other letters I have written... The editor their absolutely hates me. I have tried to editorialize my issues with them in letters to other papers in the past and they have all said they will not publish letters slamming another paper....Its very frustrating...

7. Marietta Ohio
Marietta Times deadline for political letters was Wed. 20th at 5 PM. They published letters in the weekend edition, so maybe they'll publish what came in before the deadline.
