I canvassed in Kenosha, WI for Kerry today!
Today 2 busloads of Illinoisans went to Kenosha for Kerry. We canvassed for Kerry supporters and reminded everyone to not only vote but get EVERYONE in their household who is a Kerry supporter to do the same.

Heads up, Wisconsin DUers. The ratio of Kerry to Bush signs where the canvassers went was about 3 to 1 in favor of Kerry! He can ABSOLUTELY win the state. Turnout, turnout, turnout!

3. I canvassed for Melissa Bean today!
I was going to do the Kerry thing or Bean. I'm glad to hear that so many people went up north to Wisconsin. What areas were you in? Southeast Wisconsin is very Democratic. It's encouraging and thank you for going up there, but we can't get too optimistic. My parents live in Appleton, WI and it's much more mixed. Green Bay is Democratic, but the rest of the state is pretty Republican. Door County was just shameful for Bush when I was there four weeks ago. Let's be cautiously optimistic about Wisconsin.

5. Thanks!
Thanks to all for responding. We were only in Kenosha. Yes, Wisconsin is strange, no question, and you are absolutely right to call for cautious optimism. Still, it felt good at the ground level where we were.

Now, thank you to YOU for working for Ms. Bean! How awesome would it be to see Phil Crane retired?!

We're doing what we can up here in NE WI, but every extra hand is needed.
