6. The WP, just like the Chimp, can't admit mistakes. |

They were gung-ho for the Iraq War and now they are trying to twist their words to cover their own ass. Pitiful.
Did you see where Ben Bradlee called Bush a liar this week? Didn't mince words, called him a LIAR. It was an internet interview and I read it on Der Spiegle -- never heard it in the mainstream press. But, I guarantee you they all know about it. And Ben Bradlee still does wield some power of persuasion in the Washington media.
It almost sounds like the WP wrote that editorial intending to endorse Bush, but turned it around at the last minute. They are just a shadow of a great paper. Their glory is their past.

As one would expect, their "endorsement" compares the records and perceived strengths and weaknesses of Bush and Kerry. But this piece is so full of lies and propaganda that it comes off like they are withholding their endorsement from either candidate.
In the Bush portion of their piece, they state as fact the following lies:
"His commitment to a long-term struggle to promote freedom in the Arab world"
"An understanding of the deep threat posed by radical Islamic fundamentalism."
"Mr. Bush has accomplished ... the practical business of forming alliances to track terrorists"
"beginning to reshape a Middle East policy too long centered on accommodating friendly dictators."
"He has promised the large increases in foreign aid, to help poor nations cope with AIDS and for other purposes" (He has made many promises. This piece doesn't mention that none of them was serious.)
There are a lot more lies and propagandistic talking points the Post freely repeats, as well as a plethora of RNC distortions of Kerry and his positions, which are, again, stated as fact.
Frankly, I'm somewhat disappointed at this milquetoast piece, even from this bunch of whores.
