Volunteers needed in Iowa!
I need a dozen or more EvilDUers in Iowa on election day!

mcgrath012001@yahoo.com

It is time to put up or shut up.

We have folks from right across the river, and clear from Chi metro area. We also have retired teacher from Mass who is a wonderful organizer! See my thread in the IL forum relating to the election. I have bragged about the DU to anyone who will listen for years. NOW is the time for DU to help in a crucial battle-ground state to change the future of America.

2. THANK YOU!
I took over a precinct that was neglected to say the least! I am looking for help on election day, and of course nothing would be sweeter than having a full cadre of DUers to help all around the county.

IOWA IS CRITICAL

8. Have a question for you regarding Iowa
First was so happy to see the DesMoines Register endorse Kerry and bring out the fact that everything people were afraid the "liberal" would do (Kerry) has already been done by Bush (deficit spending, etc.). Anyway, about the Iowa polls. In 2000, Gore did not win the state on the ground on election night (so to speak). He won because of the massive number of absentee ballots that put him like 4,000 over. Anyway, an Iowa poster a few days ago said that they have received like 70,000 Dem absenteen ballots (and that's the size of one of the bigger cities in Iowa)!! I'm assuming that these polls are just not catching these absentee ballots. Would love to know what the 'polls' said going into the 2000 election in Iowa. Do you know?? Were they saying about the same thing as now and then these absentee ballots flooded in?? I'm real curious about Iowa election 2000 polls----have any data????

9. This I know

We are ahead of 2000 in # of absentee ballots requested.

We are ahead of 2000 in # of new registrations

We also have lots of No Party voters mucking up the system.

AL GORE won by 4400 or so votes in IA-2000. THAT IS LESS THEN 2 VOTES PER PRECINCT!!!!

10. "Mucking up the system" ?!

I'm not sure how exactly I feel about that comment.

Especially since I took the opportunity to re-register
in Iowa as one of those "No Party" voters. :)

Sorry if I'm "mucking up the system" ... if they gave
me a box for "I'm voting for whomever I feel is the best
choice for leading our country--no matter party affiliation"
I wouldn't have put "No Party" ;)

I'm also one of those Absentee voters--already voted when
I registered--so I can tell you with 100% certainty that there's
AT LEAST 1 vote in Iowa for Kerry-Edwards ;)

I can actually say with 100% certainty that there are thousands
of others too already cast.

inspiration for all of America...thank you, Iowa !!!

Mark McClain, an airline pilot and farmer, mowed ‘KERRY’ into his 40-acre field on the approach to a Des Moines Airport runway. Each letter is 600 feet tall and 400 feet wide.
