No change in Sunday Zogby
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush maintained a slim two-point lead on Democratic rival John Kerry for the third consecutive day in a tight race for the White House, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Sunday.

Bush led Kerry 48-46 percent in the latest three-day tracking poll, a statistical dead heat that was within the poll's margin of error. Bush's lead among likely voters the previous day was 47-45.

The number of undecided voters in the poll fell to 4 percent. Neither candidate has been able to break 50 percent since the poll began on Oct. 7, although Bush reached 50 percent in the last of the three days of polling on Saturday that went into the survey.

This latest survey contained 1,207 likely voters chosen at random nationwide and polled on Thursday through Saturday. The poll has a statistical margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.

Pollster John Zogby said the tense White House battle evoked memories of the disputed 2000 election narrowly won by Bush over Democrat Al Gore. At this stage of the 2000 race, Bush had a one-point lead over Gore in the tracking poll.

Zogby said only one in five of the undecided voters felt Bush deserved a second term in the White House.
