"I know Kerry is gonna lose" That is what they said.
I was at a birthday party yesterday. Had a conversation with a couple of die-hard dems. They said desperately that Kerry was going to lose. For the first time in a long time I started imagining what I will be doing late night November 2nd if * does actually steal this election. It has been a horrible thought that I have not wanted to contemplate. I will be screaming and crying. People will believe * actually won, it was toooo close in the polls. God, please help us all.

1. LNP- seriously, don't even listen to those people.
They don't have the first clue as to what they're talking about.

Just to begin with, look at OH and FL. There is GREAT NEWS coming out of both of them, with polls showing Kerry with a good lead in OH and a slim lead in FL. Plus, the preliminary voting reports are showing MASSIVE Dem turnout in FL. If we win both of those states, we win it all.

Plus, WI and MN are looking good, as is NM. Right now our biggest problem is IA, but the way things are going we're not even going to need it!

Really, don't let these guys get you down. Kerry is doing just awesome, and we're gonna have a new president elect on the 3rd. Have faith.

3. Someone asked me yesterday what I thought
I am so bad at something like this but I did say I am worried about all the people who say Bush has kept us safe. I guess they are not living in the same world as I am. Looks like a mess to me. Even my son and his wife lost their over time pay. I see no happy days in Iraq for any one for a long time and we sure have more terrorists in the world. What has he kept us safe from? What are these people talking about and I would swear these people are Dem. or some.

Candidates Hit Key States With Election Still a Tossup

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 23 -- President Bush turned his Marine One chopper into a campaign prop Saturday and used it to drop in on huge crowds at three stadiums around Florida, at a time of concern in his campaign about his failure to gain a decisive lead in the most crucial battlegrounds.

GOP officials who talked to Bush-Cheney campaign leaders said the leaders have grown more worried about Ohio, Florida and other key states where Bush lacks a lead with just 10 days until the election. A poll by Ohio University's Scripps Survey Research Center, completed Thursday night, found Kerry leading 49 percent to 43 percent among registered voters, with a margin of error of five percentage points.

One Republican official described the mood at the top of the campaign as apprehensive. " 'Grim' is too strong," the official said. "If we feel this way a week from now, that will be grim."

snip

The Republican official said polling for Bush showed him in a weaker position than some published polls have indicated, both nationally and in battlegrounds. In many of the key states, the official said, Bush is below 50 percent, and he is ahead or behind within the margin of sampling error -- a statistical tie.

"There's just no place where they're polling outside the margin of error so they can say, 'We have this state,' " the official said. "And they know that an incumbent needs to be outside the margin of error."

6. I have idiot family members who still love Bush
Nephews and nieces lost their overtime pay, but, Praise the Lord, they're gonna vote STRAIGHT GOP to STOP GAY MARRIAGE, AMEN!

You cannot reason with them. If they don't have the TV on the Jesus Channel, they switch to 19th Century Fox.
