TRENTON BUREAU

Democrat John Kerry still leads President Bush in New Jersey by a significant margin that has held largely steady over the past three weeks, The Record Poll has found.

In a survey of 600 registered, likely voters conducted last week, 50 percent said they plan to vote for the senator from Massachusetts and 43 percent said they would vote to reelect the Republican.

Two percent said they will vote for independent Ralph Nader. Five percent were still undecided.

1. Have you noticed?
Everything has been falling into place.

Maine is solid now.
Ohio is tilting to us.
Pennsylvania is consistently tilting to us.
Minnesota is consistently tilting to us.
Oregon is a foregone conclusion.
Florida is all tied-up with us beating the GOP in early voting.
Iowa is all tied-up again with us slaying the GOP in early balloting.

And now, New Jersey comes along to let us know that we can depend on her. Very nice.

4. Can you feel it? I know I can!
Everything is trending our way. Bush can't win with National polls giving him 50 or below. A big part of that 50 is his strong lead in the red states, and that's not going to win him any more electoral votes. I can't wait to hear about the Zogby battleground report tonight.
