Hearing a lot about Mary Poppins registering: WATCH OUT!

Just read here that Ed Gillespie is talking about Mary on "Meet the Press." They're projecting fraud onto us, and I'm afraid the media will swallow it hook, line and sinker. At the least, fraud will be reported in a "fair and balanced" way, if at all -- both sides guilty. I already saw this yesterday, uncharacteristically, on CNN International. There was a Dem rep and a Republican rep. The discussion started with the lead story from the NYT about Repubs challenging Ohio Dem voters, which was scarcely touched, and progressed rapidly to laughter about Mary Poppins. The issue of fraud was not treated seriously, and the guilty party was not identified.

Is there any way our side can head off and combat this giant spinning cover-up of Republican fraud breaking out everywhere, and attempts to prevent Democrats from voting, and having their votes counted, running rampant?

On edit: Norbert reports in another thread that the cocaine-for-registration story is another RNC talking point that's been ordered up.

Are they saying it's impossible for anyone legitimate to be named Mary Poppins? I know a guy named Ronald McDonald.

I know of other people whose names make you wonder what their parents were smoking. It's not inconceivable to me that someone would really be named Mary Poppins.

6. Where's the equal coverage?

I keep reading about this voter fraud, but why isn't the press giving much, much more coverage to the news that Republicans are paying people to hang around the polls and harass people? I was reading the story in the Post today about the GOTV on both sides and was so disturbed when I read that while the Dem activists were happy to talk about what they were doing and why, the Republican ones were told specifically to stay away from the media and not reveal anything.

Once again, proof that this is the scariest, most secretive administration of my lifetime, yet the press allows the GOP to blither on and on about Mary Poppins. How about a little equal coverage of the much darker and more twisted GOP fraud in the making???

Overheard some talking head on radio today. (I think it was a Rush rerun with unknown guest host). I only heard the words, "voter fraud" and "new voter registrations".

That's when I KNEW that Bush will not be re-elected, because they know it.
