Could there be an LBJ-style landslide in the making for the Democrats?
If not this election, then the next election? A re-implementation of the Fairness Doctrine would negate the influence of the Neo-Liberal media.

Could it be possible? Or do you think that voter fraud would prevent it? Do you think that too many stupid people would still vote Republican? OR Do you think that a fair media would make most people 'see the light'?

Do you think voter fraud can be overcome by a Kerry presidency?

Some background:

Lyndon Baines Johnson was re-elected to the Presidency in 1964 beating Senator Barry Goldwater-R by a landslide margin. LBJ carried 45 states and D.C. and by an Electoral College margin of 486-52 and a popular vote of 61.1% to 38.5%.

1. This election will be a landslide but not that big. I'd say more like:

I don't think Kerry will get anywhere near 60 percent of the popular vote, but I think he'll get around 55-56 at least. Its so unpredictable this year because it all depends on turnout, and we dems, usually the apathetic crowd, are FIRED UP.

4. That's ironic that you see Dems as the apathetic ones...
Never used to be that way. And may it never be that way again!

24.

6. We allowed ourselves to get distracted
That is a failing we have, all of us as a people not just the Democratic party. The ruling class has figured this out and it using it to their own advantage. Think about all the ridiculous NON-issues that fill the papers and news broadcasts to the breaking point.

I guarantee you that while the air was clogged with crap about Clinton's penis, the ruling class was taking advantage of the distraction to get the groundwork laid for their plan to seize power. While we were SO concerned about whether or not OJ did it, the Republican Assemblies were forming and getting their candidates quietly positioned to take office and begin corrupting local legislations - by the time we noticed, it was a done deal. Microsoft made all the papers over an internet browser, while Enron, Haliburton, and a dozen other super-conglomerates were solidifying their holds in government and industry, taking our money and resources hostage, and preparing for their hostile takeover of our country.

Seriously, how many of us really saw this coming? We snoozed and ignored every red flag, and then one day we woke up in a fascist state: poor, jobless, disenfranchised, endangered, persecuted, and imprisoned all in the name of patriotism.

I don't blame America first. I don't even blame Americans first. I blame the evil that has taken over this country, but even I have to admit that we let them do it.

5. I don't think we will get Louisiana or Mississippi.
The rest are at least somewhat possible.

7. It is possible. The polls for both show that Kerry is within 10 percent.
And if the Iowa early turnout holds true across the nation, i.e. 40-50+ percent dem, we'll sweep a ton of red states. Iowa had 51 percent dems voting in early voting of the first 100,000 voters, 51 FUCKING PERCENT! Almost as many independents voted as republicans, and you KNOW lots of those are swinging our way!

KERRY IN A LANDSLIDE FOLKS!

3. The 64 Election Was Sui Generis...
LBJ was running as the successor to a martyred president and the Republicans nominated the worst possible candidate for that period in time...
