Republicans hurting their own?
I know that the Republican "Hold Back The Vote" plan is going to use pollwatchers and new voter challenges in order to reduce turnout. But isn't this going to work against them?

We already know from the early voting numbers in IA that Democrats are much more passionate about getting to the polls early this time, and making sure their vote counts. A large portion of Bush's support is from lukewarm Republicans who are voting for him merely out of party loyalty. So who are going to be the ones getting to the polls late because voting isn't as big a priority to them this year? Republicans. Who will be the ones going home without voting because the lines are too long? Republicans.

They're bullying themselves out of office!

There will be a Republican harraser holding up the line at every precinct in Cleveland.

2. If they hold up the line...
they'll just be holding up their own supporters, because Democrats are more committed to getting to the polls early and sticking it out to make sure their vote gets counted. I think the slower the line goes, the worse the Republicans will do!

3. But they will be holding up the line in Democratic precincts, like in
Cleveland.

4. I still think
that even in Democratic precincts, they'll alienate more Republican than Democrat voters by holding up the line. But, from what I understand, they're trying to suppress the vote in all precincts.
