Just met Jim Hightower
He gave a talk at the most liberal bookstore in Sarasota. His message is very hopeful that Kerry IS going to win the election. He talked about being everywhere across the US and meeting an oustanding amount of people who are PISSED about Bush and voting Kerry. He said there are 29 million new voters between the ages of 18-25 and 40 million between 18 and 35.

He also said there are many more republicans voting for Kerry this election.

His big message...DO NOT BELIEVE THE POLLS.

Soon as I get it, I will post the pic of me and Jim.

4. Funny
Just read the chapter on how Karl Rove made Jim Hightower his first political roadkill in Jim Moore and Wayne Slater's book Bush's Brain. Glad to see Hightower's still out there giving the Busheviks the bidness.

6. Met him in Durham...
...a few months ago. He did a talk there. I couldn't afford his book
(unemployed IT worker with no money...) but I did introduce myself, shake his hand, thank him for all he does. Hightowerlowdown is a great newsletter too - it's concise and just the right size and format for scattering in conspicuous places.
