3. I'm unbelieveably happy with Kerry. |
|
I started as an ABBer, but now, I love the idea of President Kerry. He'd appoint good judges, he likes sound science, he's proposing an energy policy on the scale of the Manhattan Project.. I love it!
And imagining the Freepers (online and in my family) having conniption fits over an actual "Massachusetts Liberal" being in the Oval Office is just the icing on the cake :)

and vote swapping is illegal I believe.
Either way, vote swapping is incredibly retarded...
If not Kerry who would you vote for? Nader? Cobb?
Don't throw away your vote. Add to Kerry's mandate. Show the pundits and the world that you are serious in getting rid of the worst president ever!

7. This was an incredibly bad idea . . . |
|
In 2000, and it's still an incredibly bad idea.
If you think Nader should be president (pardon me while I uncross my eyes), then vote for the guy!
You can't build up your progressive base (or whatever) by this silly swap business. It renders everything you say ridiculous and I can't see how that advances your cause.
Let's stay focused. Bush is evil, Bush must go.
If you disagree with the preceding statement, vote for him, or some other candidate more to your taste.
But your vote isn't transferrable.

First any idiot who would risk the popular vote and trust somebody else to vote for Kerry, needs to examine their thinking abilities as much as any fundy does.
Second.
John Kerry. Spearheaded acid rain invetigations which became the Clean Air Act. Same with the new Clean Water Act and new Oceans and Fisheries Act. There is no better leader on the environment than John Kerry, incuding Ralph Nader.
Wrote the legislation that was the pre-cursor to Children's Health Insurance Program.
Wrote the legislation that would create a trust fund for low-income housing.
Has fought with John McCain to introduce a new Committee that would eliminate corporate pork.
Wrote much of the legislation on Global Aids legislation.
Was the first to stand up for gay/lesbian equal rights.
Has always stood beside women and created one of the first sexual victims units in the countries. Introduced legislation and fought for extensions in Women's Business Centers so women could begin to become financially independent.
There is so much more. John Kerry has done 10 times what Ralph Nader has done and there is absolutely NO reason for any liberal to not be ecstatic about his candidacy.
Unless they're the same kind of faithful follower of Nader who can't make a decision unless he tells them to. Kind of like some other faithful followers I know of.

10. This is illegal, unworkable and unreliable. |

How do you know the person you are dealing with on the other end is not some Freeper?
I have a better idea, vote for Kerry, period! Nader voters are a bunch of Kool-aid drinking wackos, the eqivalent of Bush voters.

There is NO SUCH THING as a safe state, and you only hope that the swap is completed on the other end.
What a waste of time.

We need the popular vote for Kerry to be overwhelming.
Besides, this vote swapping sounds illegal. Let's let the Rethugs do that kind of thing.

Freepers have openly talked about abusing this system, and really, unless you are personally acquainted with, and trust the person you make the arrangement with, you have no idea how they are going to vote.
I noticed that the web site mentioned their legal advisor being interviewed by Fox News. That in itself should raise some red flags. The system is simply way to open to abuse, by people who have shown that they will abuse the system any way that they possibly can.
The Kerry/Edwards ticket is far from my ideal, as is my state's Senate candidate, but nothing in the world is going to keep me from voting for them, even if I wasn't in a battleground state.
I am speaking as someone who voted for Nader last time. We simply can't afford to dilute the progressive vote at all. Kerry needs the biggest mandate that we can give him. Even if you live in Utah or Texas, your vote will help contribute to his mandate. Also, no state can ever truly be considered absolutely safe. If enough people take that attitude, a seemingly safe state can be lost.
Please do not fall for this vote swap stuff. It simply isn't trustworthy.

This website advocates for the election of John Kerry and encourages all members to vote for Kerry. We do not under any circumstances advocate voting for anyone but the only person who can oust GWBush.
