New Orleans' Times-Picayune: "No One to Champion" (endorsed * in 2000!)
I don't like it, but it's better than a Chimp endorsement.

The United States is facing profound challenges as it chooses a president for the next four years. Insurgents continue to plague the rebuilding of Iraq, this nation's deficit is exploding, and terrorism has become a worldwide reality.

These and other pressing issues will require singular leadership from the Oval Office. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend either George W. Bush or John Kerry with confidence.

They're "unwilling to urge Mr Bush's re-election" for a litany of reasons, but they're skeptical of Kerry's foreign policy plans.

Hogwash. I think they did this to avoid a backlash from the conservatives living in Jefferson Parish and Mandeville.. :eyes:

1. For once, the devil they know is far worse than the devil they don't.

2. Be A Champion for Kerry
It's time for us to tell our friends and families why we are FOR John Kerry. Trying to get the word out:

3. Non-Endorsement from a Non-Newspaper
I have lived in New Orleans and read the Times Picayune. It is a cowardly rag and appropriate for that miserable city.

4. Hey hey now..
I love New Orleans.

But you are right.. it deserves better.
It deserves to be cleaned-up.
The politicians are crooked.
The Saints never win anything.
The streets need to be fixed.
The chemical plants to the west need to be audited for pollutant output.

But I still love it..

6. Sorry tedoll78...
I did not intend to offend you. I lived there for a good while--went to UNO--but did not have the love for it that you do...

7. I understand.
It really is an acquired taste. If I had a nickle for every time I've heard someone say, "I love to visit.. but I couldn't live there.." - I'd be RICH! :hi:

5. They're worthless anyway

That is one shitty newsrag if I've ever seen one. New Orleans is just about the poorest city in the United States--We called it "Bombay" or "Calcutta" when I lived there. . . . The poor there are treated so badly, and the hourly wage employees--it's a nightmare!

Yet, the goddamned paper endorse that fuck, * ,in 2000.

I DO agree with you that it's better that they endorse nobody than endorse the squatter in the WH, but it just makes me angry that they are soooo stupid.
