3. Unlike Mr. Cheney, Dick Gephardt doesn't hide his daughter.

Dick Gephardt has proudly included all of his family, including his lesbian daughter Chrissy, in his public life. I remember seeing Chrissy on many campaign appearances on C-Span during the primaries.

I've always thought Dick Gephardt is a class act. John Kerry SHOULD nominate Gephardt as Labor Secretary...a choice that would win bipartisan approval. :-)

I always felt he gets a bad break here on the boards, I am very pro labor and remember Dick from watching CSPAN as a little kid. As far as Labor Secretary, I can not think of a man or woman alive in this country who could do a better job than Dick, he has the relationships with the union members that no one else in American Politics has today. He's an old school guy yet he handled Chrissy with such grace. He's obviously a somewhat traditional guy but he's also very much living in today's world, he was sort of like the grandfather figure for me in the primaries.
