Did anyone see BG Burkett ('Stolen Valor' author) on C-Span?
BG Burkett, who wrote 'Stolen Valor' and basically investigates validity of veteran claims, primarily Vietnam vets (he's the guy that exposed actor Brian Dennehy) was on C-Span and taking Q&A's mentioned cryptically that there are "new stories" about Kerry coming out before the election. Interestingly, Burkett didn't say anything nor was he asked about Bush's spotty military record. Any thoughts on what he might be referring to?

1. OMG, I was just sitting here thinking about starting a thread
on this and didn't know where to put it!

I found Burkett very spooky. I find all the Swiftboat Liars, Stolen Honor and Stolen Valor guys extremely unhinged.

It sounded ominous, to say the least. If the only thing they have is the Lehman signature thing, that's already been out there and well explained as nothing out of the ordinary. The "v" on the Silver Star was an obvious typing error.

What's up with these guys?

3. They tried to get that dog to hunt a couple of weeks ago
It's a non-starter. If the Moonie Times is running with it, it shows their desperation.

4. Well, it won't be the first time they try to run a
dog that won't hunt. It's their stock in trade, in fact.

The most successful ploy has been the Swiftboat liars which bogged Kerry down for a good month, so I'm not astounded that Rove would go to the well one more time to troll in the Mekong Delta. He would love to come up with some slime that sounds really, really bad and will take some time to rebuke, IMO. The lightening fast responses from the Kerry camp gives me hope that whatever it may be (if anything) won't stick.

5. he wouldn't LOOK AT THE CAMERA...he talked like cheney..with
his head to the side and his eyes down....

worse, he doesn't know how to speak on TV...he rambled all over the place...I couldn't understand any of the points he tried to make...so disorganized...flinging his hands all around, laughing madly at nothing....it was weird...

seems that the swift-liars are all flamed out....still beating their dead horse, using TONS of reTHUGlican money to do it....good, it takes more money out of bush* campaign funds...

here in Virginia, we got LOTS of Veterans joining Kerry campaign, solely because of those swift-boat liars making jest of Kerry's war medals....Veterans in Virginia have war medals too, and they know the real scoop...swift-boat liars just made them mad, and flung them over to join Kerry's campaign....

7. Tell them hello
from the daughter of a Virginian veteran. And tell them "ME TOO!" Mad as hell, that is. Don't you tell ME the Navy doesn't know how to give out a medal.

Ya got me thinking now. I wonder if the Amphiron is still afloat (dang, I think that was its name). It's number was 13, and dad used to take us down where it and the other ships were docked to see them decorated for Xmas. That was his last ship before he retired. Before that, the only ship I know he was on was the Dixie (Dixon).

6. I have that book
He has a lot of good information in the book. He also has connections to poppy Bush.

He leans far right in his book. No doubt about that. He was in Vietnam but does not claim battle experience that I could tell.
