My friend filled out a bogus petition on campus for this guy who was being paid by the Republican party to gather signatures. He was also registering people to vote (and checking them off as Republican against their expressed will). My friend told him adamantly TWICE that she is ALREADY registered. He said fine, they went their separate ways.

Cut to today: She IMs me frantically saying that that asshole registered her anyway and that she's now not only registered as a Republican, but DOUBLE registered in another county and might not be able to vote.

This fascist junta will do anything, ANYTHING to maintain its strangle-hold on power. Makes me so mad I just freeze up thinking about it.
