4. I wish Kerry had time to go just to
show them he cares..He really should send someone brilliant there.

It's so far away but they need to know they are not taken for granted.

The Honolulu Advertiser endorsed Kerry..they should read the reasons why!

9. Thank you! I couldn't remember that spelling to save my life..
obviously. And it didn't google well.

I had to have a special dispensation to dance the "Hawaiian War Dance".

I'm a direct descendant of Captain Cook. Kind of dicey, but we got it.

"Special dispensation"! Did you live on the Islands for awhile?

I googled Hawaiian pidgeon because although it didn't look right ..I couldn't exactly remember:think:

Here's a link to Honolulu Advertiser endorsement and the DU thread that had it..

12. Pidgeon! That was it! I couldn't remember. Been a few years.
I actually met many locals here in Las Vegas.

We bugged the c(&*p out of a guy whose mother was a hula instructor (I forget the Hawaiian term). So I was the only Haole of the first four of us. They were worried this white girl had no rhythm. Fooled 'em.

We did performances around town. At one performance I heard a woman lean over to another and say "She's not Hawaiian."

Gee, you think she was talking about this blue eyed, red head? LOL.

My mother said I "stuck out like a sore thumb." Yay, mom.

It was a lot of years ago. I miss those days. But, occasionally, I get to freak out someone who thinks this white girl can't dance.

:P

And thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

:hi:

7. Well.. I can comfort you.
One poll sampled Republicans and Dems by 42R-31D. So there's your explanation for that one.

And the second poll sampled only those living on Oahu. They left-out the other 1/3 of the population, which is overwhelmingly for the Democrats.

Hawai'i is ours.
