Why give that ridiculous UN story legs?
... by posting it in a banner on the front page? I can't even find it in any news article. Why is DU shouting it from the rooftops? That the Bushies lost 380 tons of explosives in Iraq should be the story we are pushing - not some bogus UN story that denigrates Kerry.

1. It has no legs - that's the point - it is so PATHETIC it is laughable
Not only is the story a dud, but the nations he didn't meet with aren't even the permanent members of the Security Council: it's Mexico, Bulgaria, and Colombia.

3. we are trying
to head it off at the pass. We confront it headon--and dismiss it as nothing. A much wiser strategy than ignoring it--like people did at first with the Swiftees. Trust Skinner.

4. Is there a story somewhere?
Got a link to anything? Call me crazy, but I think it ought to actually be a story before we "head it off at the pass." Otherwise, isn't that kind of like making the Swiftee claims ourselves?

5. Skinner has the story on the front
page. (just the part of the story that is out there already). Personally, I think it is a good strategy.

6. Um, that's my point - nobody making it a story
except DU. Personally, I think it's a really bad idea. Remember Gore and FEMA?

9. Dunno
The Washington Times has to resort to picking apart a speech made by Kerry in December 2003 about a meeting in 2002? That's desperate!

This will go over as well as the "Wolves" ad.
