I was in a Repug area today and guess what! |
|
I had to drive to the outskirts of McHenry, IL to my brother's house today for a family party. It's far north of Chicago and is somewhat rural and pretty Repug (yes, my brother is one but I don't think he's voting for Dumbya). I was bracing myself to be assaulted by Dumbya signs and Repug signs in general. I am happy to report however, that I was wrong. There were far more Kerry signs than Dumbya signs. The GOP candidate with the most signs was actually Keyes, but I suspect that was more a case of someone planting signs in empty lots, etc. I know Illinois is already decided, but if McHenry can get on board with Kerry, I think other rural or semi-rural areas can as well.

very funny (in a sad way) bumper stickers. It has Wisconsin plates. One was an American flag with a peace symbol where the stars would be. Then right next to it was a Dumya '04 sticker. Wow. Talk about confused, ignorant people.

has amazingly few bush signs. Let's put it this way, I can count them on two hands. 125,000 people.
Interesting, isn't it? In 2000, they were EVERYWHERE. Instead we are seeing Kerry signs everywhere.
