There's a difference between toying with someone thought to be a disruptor, and howling 'freeper' like a fucking lynch mob. Posters who call out others as disruptors break the forum rules as surely as do real freepers. Now they're explaining why they did it to you, but not apologizing. Nice.

23. I think what some people here need to realize

that there will be lots of new posters here, and not just right wing disruptors. Lots of Democrats across the country are excited/nervous/anxious/freaked-out about the election, and are probably looking for a place to talk with other Dems. It does not help OUR SIDE by thinking everyone new here is a right wing disruptor, because it is more likely the person on the other end is a die-hard Democrat looking for a "support group" to help them through the election.

Besides, we're all adults here. If a "freeper" posts here, it's not like they're somehow going to take over our mind through the computer screen. We can all read a post and make a decision as to what the poster's intent is. I just don't see the big deal over disruptors. I get the feeling some folks here are afraid of themselves - like the fundies who are so afraid to see anything sexual for fear they may like it. Me personally, I know what my beliefs are and I'm not afraid to hear anything - regardless of how offensive it may be. I'm probably more of a libertarian than a liberal in many regards, especially when it comes to matters of speech and expression.
