2. Had to...the entire WORLD has been aware since May 2003 |
|
bush's leaving munitions depots unsecured has been well-reported on by the world's media since May 2003.
Even US media has reported it continuously.
Most Americans just haven't bothered to listen or care.

3. "WHEN" did she say the administration became aware? |
|
Josh Marshall indicated a year ago and had not notified IAEA. Did she confirm that?

6. She said IAEA hasn't been able to confirm when the ammo was stolen |
|
She said the bunkers covering the explosives have made it impossible for satellite imagery to detect when they were taken, she hopes it is recently (I guess so chances are better of recovering it before it proliferates). Says insurgents can use the material. She clearly said the location of this ammo in a large very prominent location was very well known to officials as documents show. It had been safeguarded by U.N. but when coalition came in it became the responsibility of the coalition.
Suzanne Malveaux who covers the White House seemed to convey message that Administration is downplaying this as no big deal since there is so much ammo and explosives in Iraq that they can't be expected to be able to control it all.
Another Orwellian spin from White House, minimizing the significance of this revelation by implying that it is just one small wave in a tidal sea of unsecured material- not their fault because problem is too big for coalition to be expected to handle.
Since they can't blame Clinton or Kerry, their excuse is that the missing ammo problem was just inevitable and so massive that the coalition could not be expected to prevent the problem. (Even though Saddam and the U.N. were able to keep it under control)

7. IAEA rep said it can be used for nukes (see WH spin in my earlier post) |
|
IAEA rep said it can be used for nukes but also for the bombings being done by the insurgents. Apparently WH is downplaying this in Orwellian fashion- see my previous post.
