8 days out polls means nothing. It's all about turn out now. |
|
Getting out the Base. If 100 to 115 million people vote, Kerry wins. I think the 15 different polls info posted every hour is worthless bandwidth this close to the election. Pollsters need to make a living to I guess. 700 million dollars and it all going to come down to 3 states. PA Ohio and Florida. Kerry take 2 or the 3 an we are back in the WH.
I'm done worrying about Poll numbers for here on out.

1. They mean something - Bush isn't getting 50+ percent in most |
|
or any of them, I don't believe. If he isn't breaking 50 by now, in all probability - he's finished.
Most of the undecideds will break for Kerry, turnout always favors Dems and it will be higher than usually this year, most of the polls are oversampling Republicans...
We're in pretty good shape. Kerry needs to close the deal, unleash any Oct surprises we may have, deal with the last minute GOP slime, and the most important thing - yep, make sure our voters show up.

2. I Agree Because The Spread Is Small |
|
If there was a large spread of course it would mean something...
If we were looking at 72, 84 or 88 numbers I'd be demoralized but we are not...

7. And we're in much better shape than even 2000 |
|
and we won the popular vote and the election before they stole it from us.
Just think, there was very little enthusiasm on our side in 2000 - we had grown complacent. The Repubs were out of power for 8 years and were hungry - yet still didn't win the popular vote. I gotta say, I just don't see how we can lose this thing - aside from any Rove/Jeb dirty tricks of course.

3. Forget a October surprises . This campaign have been going hot and |
|
heavy for 6 months now................There is no meaningful dirt left on either candidate. If there was a 527 group would have used it. Both sides will have to play this straight from here on out. Let the best man win. Which is Kerry in my book
