Is anyone even surprised anymore with Iraq |
|
Today we are told that conventinal explosives were stolen from some buidings in Iraq, and that our people aren't sure when they went missing. And this was known for a few months now, but kept from the people. then you had the mass execution of over 40 Iraqi "troops." The media and some people are acting as if this is surprising, when most historians and other intellectuals predicted this. Has anyone come to realize that Iraq right now is a joke and the people being affected by it the most are our soldiers and the Iraqi people. It's a quagmire and American's are still dying at the hands of terrorists. Just because it's being fought in a country thousands of miles away doesn't mean someone back home isn't being affected. A mother, a father, loosing a son or daughter. I hope I never have to go through that.

1. They all volunteered for it |
|
and most of them still worship the Chimperor. Sorry to sound so crass.
Sadly, * is right. We will never need to shift away from a volunteer military. About 40 percent of the public and its draft-age children are so firmly entrenched in the Rapture Cult that they will continue to sign up for the new, improved Son of God v2.0 and his war machine.

Did you know that the MAJORITY of US troops volunteered -meaning when they FIRST JOINED the military- for NONCOMBAT POSITIONS?
Meaning they NEVER expected to be in combat.
Do you know most US military are NO LONGER VOLUNTEERS anyways? They CAN'T just quit the military, even when their contracts are up because of "stop-loss" orders?

3. I think the other 70 percent |
|
would remain, even if tomorrow * allowed those who are currently stop-lossed to get out.
You cannot reason with cultists. The military is a cult. No one should join it for "college money" anymore. The mind control is all-pervasive and very effective.
A rational person would not be able to support * after what he has put the military through. Yet, I have little doubt that polls showing * will get 70 percent of the military's votes are true.
