Bush's Unbelievably @#$! Stupid Zarqawi Laugh Line
So, this morning on NPR, I heard both these things:

1) It has finally been brought to the attention of the American people that shortly after the fall of Baghdad, 350-400 tons of highly powerful explosives went missing, because our policy on looting was, "Hey, it's not *my* stuff, help yourself."

2) Bush, attempting to portray Kerry as unable to defend the country, is now attempting a feeble comedy bit about Zarqawi, saying, "If we weren't fighting Zarqawi in Iraq, what does Senator Kerry think he would be doing? Running a benevolent society?"

Well, you know what, George, I don't know what Zarqawi would be doing right now if you hadn't started your fucking war in Iraq...but I think it's safe to say he WOULDN'T BE DOING IT WITH 350-400 TONS OF HIGH-GRADE EXPLOSIVES.

Fuckin' ARGH, man! When are slightly less than 50% of our American brethren and sistren going to stop letting this guy call a disaster a triumph?

So THAT's where all those car bombs are coming from,

1. Al-Z would be running a weaponless, soon to be defeated small group
instead of running a well armed, soon to be running Iraq terrorist org.

2. Bush REFUSED to allow attack on Zarquawi in order to argue for war on Sdam
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4431601/

Read the entire March 2, 2004 article. Here's the part that explains WHY bush didn't do it. You won't surprised to learn it had to do with putting politics over national security.

"Military officials insist their case for attacking Zarqawi’s operation was airtight, but the administration feared destroying the terrorist camp in Iraq could undercut its case for war against Saddam.

"The United States did attack the camp at Kirma at the beginning of the war, but it was too late — Zarqawi and many of his followers were gone. “Here’s a case where they waited, they waited too long and now we’re suffering as a result inside Iraq,” Cressey added."

3. War is NOT a joke, and the Kerry camp ought to use that
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 09:23 AM by mtnester
Serious, nothing to crack ANY joke about....are our soldiers of such little import that we USE what they are fighting and DYING for to make a joke about our opponent?

War is as serious as a heart attack and I am SICK of his inappropriate jokes. What a sociopath. Stupid little turd.

4. That blew me out of bed this morning..
I thought he said "running a small business" not a benevolent society? My first thought was, well, why is Zarqawi in Iraq and not contained or captured in Afghanistan as he should have been if the Bush team wasn't so quick to move onto invading Iraq and then blowing the occupation? Bush held up an example of a failed war on terror, and the crowd cheers.

5. First "running a small business," then "a benevolent society"
He suggests several options...clearly trying to drag out the laugh as long as he can do it. The other interesting thing about that clip is that he has to *explain* to his audience who Zarqawi is before he tells the joke...because it's not like Zarqawi has the same name recognition as, oh, say, OSAMA BIN LADEN.

Sigh,

6. I'm convinced that Zarqawi is a person engineered for public consumption

so that we have at least some identifiable person we're actually fighting over there in Iraq instead of random groups of militants that change every day.

While I don't doubt that Zarqawi is a real bad guy, I don't think he's masterminding virtually everything like we're being lead to believe.
