One pound of these missing explosives could bring down a plane...

Since there are 2,000 pounds in a ton, conceivable one-ton of this missing explosive could bring down 2000 planes. And we are missing 380 tons ! It is not a trivial matter as the Repubs are busily trying to sweep it under the rug. It is a perfect example of the incompetence of this Administration in this ill-conceived war.

Most likely, much of this explosive material has already been used in the car bombs and raodside bombs that have killed so many Iraqis and Americans in the last year. One-half ton of this stuff could conceivably kill 100's of people at one time. The press needs to get to the bottom of this story and the Bush Administration needs to answer for why they chose to ignore these deadly explosives.
