NYT's Herbert: Bad News Bad News Bad News for Bush
A rather succinct list of the bad news for Bush.
List is rather daunting. Good article for those of you still persuading the fence-sitting, or your waffling GOP relatives.

War in Iraq ...especially that slaughter on Sat.. attacks...and kidnapping...
Stock market tanks...
Oil and home heating for the winter...
And more...
He ends with the continued GOP intimidation and block of voters

OP-ED COLUMNIST
For Bush, Bad News Is Bad News
By BOB HERBERT
How does a president win re-election when all the news the
voters are seeing is bad?

1. When your die-hard following has a combined IQ of a plant stand
and are easily manipulated by boogeymen . . . ANYTHING'S possible!

They don't call him the "Teflon Preznit Part II" for nothing.

This won't stick to him. Nothing does. Lancelot Link could eat babies on TV and it would not make one iota of difference.

His following is stubborn, stupid and sheepish. They will never, EVER admit they're wrong and they will never waver. It's disgusting.

3. don't worry about his "die hards"
... if those are the only ones who support him.

lookit this: even a magazine called "American Conservative" can't bring itself to endorse him!

5. hey, that's an insult to plant stands...
seriously, though, brainwashed people do not have to be stupid, just gullible. I know that sounds the same, but its vastly different. SOMETIMES, very intelligent allow themselves to be mislead because they're being told what they want to believe, so they suspend their normal critical thinking process.
