CNN reporting on the missing explosives is very good. |
|
Barbara Starr, their Pentagon correspondent always does a good job, and she reports that the DOD is now acting, telling people in Iraq to find the stuff (about a year late), and she is reporting that there are questions about what bushco knew and when they knew it.

10. I've never once seen her question a Pentagon press release |

She reads what they give her, conveying an undeserved certainty of fact.

She passes on whatever they say as though its gospel. Time and again its proven to be false. But she hasn't gotten the message, I guess.

6. Even if it was unguarded, you'd think we might have seen a few trucks |

pulling up. How do you carry away 350 tons?

One pickup load at a time!
That's what's scary -- it's not some warlord sitting on a pile of this stuff, but hundreds of guys making IEDs in their kitchens, driving it across the borders into Syria, Jordan, etc., selling it in marketplaces across the Middle East and Europe.
This stuff is going to show up the the cargo holds of many many airplanes, mark my words!

15. Ha! It has been unguarded for a year and a half |
|
In all that time a guy on a donkey cart could haul away a good stash. There are several million Iraqis who have a bone to pick with the occupiers. Each one of them could have filled up their trunk or back of their pickup trucks. No one was there to stop them. Heck, no one is still there guarding weapons sites.

7. what i sent to media... questions we need answered |
|
Why did they NOT protect our kids from these 700,000 lbs of explosives that are blowing them apart now? We deserve to know and we expect you to ask them. We don't want you to let them slide on this one. We are seeing kids without limbs being blown apart daily. These are Americans being blown apart because of poor planning? What happened to the explosives and why were they not protected? Did they cover this up?

16. In a non Corporate Media world...this should be a HUGE story leading every |
|
newscast. It's a MAJOR scandal that they KNEW about these explosives and were warned, similar to the nuclear materials, to protect them and THEY DIDN'T.
In the Corporate media world, it's a 2nd tier story dwarfed by Scott Peterson and Martha.
