Heavy in-person absentee balloting in Greenville SC.: BALLOT WARNING!
Dr. DemoTex just voted. It took her an hour to get in and out. The good news is the absentee ballots are paper ballots (Greenville County will use electronic voting on 11/2). The bad news is the paper ballots are "bubble" ballots. Some voters (especially the elderly) are "checking" the open circles (bubbles) instead of filling them in. Verb sap!

If you live in SC, consider in-person absentee voting. Go to the SC Elections Commission website for absentee voting guidelines. Just about anyone can qualify to vote absentee (if you get my drift).

1. Massive early voting here in Ohio
Our ballot, Mahoning County is a good old paper ballot, BUT, the ballot in Cuyahoga (Cleveland) County is a NIGHTMARE. It's a punch card, but the 'holes' are arranged in a bingo-style grid and do NOT line up to the candidate names. If Ohio becomes the battle ground, look for the fight to start in Cleveland!!!

2. Voting report from Houston, Harris County, Texas
A friend of mine voted Saturday at a west side location (Katy Freeway). He said he stood in line for more than an hour just to vote. Said some people gave up and left because it was taking so long. He voted on an electronic voting machine that was not a touch-screen machine. Said you had to turn a wheel to highlight the proper choice. He also said, that because he was somewhat unfamiliar with a few of the candidates, he just voted straight Democratic ticket! I, on the other hand, voted absentee about three weeks ago because my permanent home is in another county. I also voted straight Democratic, for the first time in my life!
You know who the heavy turnout favors!
