2 questions about supporters at Bush events -
1. I'm getting second hand info of news reports - the requiremnts that Bush supporters have to have to be at a Bush rally - that they have to meet all 3 of the following:

A. They have to sign something. What exactly do they have to sign?

B. They have to have given financially to Bush. Do they have records of this or do they give on the spot?

C. They have to have enough spunk and energy or they don't get in.

Can anyone confirm any or all of these?

2. Any word on the effect of any Bush supporter turned away for not meeting any of the above? Seems anti-American of them to say, "Sorry Mr. Staunch-but-pained-face-Repub, you might bring the energy level down if you get inside to join the rally. But thanks for supporting Bush anyway."

I just want to be informed what the real info on this is, seems to slightly different each time I hear it.

2. I think the requirements vary depending upon the rally and area. The
one universal one is being a shrub supporter though, only the faithful. So even if you don't protest, if you're not one of the faithful, then they don't let you in. There are multiple news items where people even who have had valid tickets for a Bush/Cheney event have been excluded because they had a Kerry or Dem sticker on their purse, a Dem button, or were seen to have a Dem bumper sticker on their car. These news articles have been posted MULTIPLE times on DU, you can search and find them.

This is in contrast to Kerry and Edwards, who generally tolerate people openly heckling them at their rallies unless the person is violent or being so loud the speaker can't be heard.

A New Mexico rally earlier in the year actually required anyone who wasn't a registered Repub to sign a "loyalty oath" pledging support for Bush (a poorly spelled oath too, if you look at the copy below, LOL).

People who didn't even protest or make a disturbance have been thrown out of Bush/Cheney rallies just for wearing shirts that were perceived as threatening to Bush, like these 3 teachers from Medford Oregon: (article below pic)

A MOTHER whose SON was KILLED in BUSH's WAR in IRAQ had the temerity to speak up at a Laura Bush speech. Even though she was shouted down by the Bush-bots ("4 more years!") and led out of the building, she was still HANDCUFFED by the police and charged with DEFIANT TRESPASS even when she was already outside of the building, speaking to reporters.

You can search for the many other articles yourself, either on DU or via Google. They are sadly not hard to find.

Does this come close to answering your question?

3. just this morning on NPR...
They reported on a * rally where you had to prove you were a supporter to get a ticket. Aka sign a loyalty oath.
Nothing but brown shirts allowed.

4. Wisconsin rally
In our town in WI to get a ticket to see * you had to go to the Republican headquarters and show them a picture ID and give them your SS number. They had spotters there who would pick those out they knew to be Democrats and those people were refused tickets. To get into the actual rally you had to show your ticket and picture ID and take off any jackets or outer clothing. One guy I know who is a rabid * supporter forgot his wallet when he went to the rally so he didn't have his ID or ticket. They wouldn't let him in.
