Rasmussen Has Kerry Ahead by 2 Points
Edited on Mon Oct-25-04 12:27 PM by louis c
For the first time in over two months, Scott Rasmussen has Kerry in the lead for President. Kerry has the lead 48.4% to 46.4%, which is a gain of 0.4% from yesterday and an amazing 4.9% in just three days.

All the fundamentals are also trending Kerry. The Democrat holds a substantial lead of over 10% among independents. Kerry holds a 1.4% lead in battleground states, and wrong track numbers are running at 55% to the right track numbers of 41%, a difference of over 14% against the President. Independents break even worse for Bush on this subject by a 61% to 34% margin..

On favorable, unfavorable, Bush is at +2% nationally (51%-49%) to Kerry's +5% (52%-47%)

The number for independents is even greater at Bush -8% to Kerry at +10%.

3. F**kin' AWESOME
Maybe he's deciding that he wants to be able to sell his polls next year and in the future...and that there is something wrong with these polls and he's trying to correct for it.

Who cares.

4. It's Happening Just Like It's Supposed to
at the 11th hour, the undecideds start to break and Kerry makes his move.

I'm not even sure another terror attack would influence the results at this pont.

5. I'd be careful about another "terra" attack
I'd be careful about another "terra" attack at this point. It could back fire on Bush/Rove and highlight just how much they HAVEN't done.

6. Polls don't matter for shite unless we get the turnout

If we do, Kerry wins an electoral landslide of Clintonian proportions

7. The trend is just as expected
we will still have to do our work, but here's the analogy i like to use.

all the planting is done, the crops are ready, all we have to do is harvest the crops.
